What do you do when things don’t go as planned? Today marks the launch date of two new products, OvHERtime and Counter Attack, for online purchasing. Today, was also supposed to be the in-store release of these products at Total Nutrition and Tanning, the home of Fueled Supplements. Last night we were informed that our Christmas morning delivery was going to be delayed resulting in product not arriving until Monday of next week. Low blow, indeed. End of the world, definitely not. Although the news initially knocked the wind out of us, we lived in the solution by maximizing what we can do in the situation instead of beating up what we can’t do. And it’s really just that in life… Living in the solution and not in the problem. What do I mean?
When people are faced with problems it’s easy getting seduced into focusing on the things that are going wrong. This happens because we allow our emotions to take control of the situation instead of thinking things through in an objective manner. We let the negatives consume us by taking things personal when our expectations are not met leaving us disappointed. There is nothing personal when all the responsibility is on you. That’s right, you take responsibility for everything that happens and happens to you and because of you. In business, life, love, school, everything that goes right is because of you and everything that goes wrong is because of you. There’s no such thing as making claim to be solely responsible for only the good, because, the truth is, the bad is of equal responsibility. My message is to start to let go of expectation of others. The only person you can fully count on at all times is yourself. The good, bad, and ugly is 100% because of you. If something unfortunate happens, look at the situation objectively, trying not to allow your emotions to take hold and cause more chaos and stress. I know this is tough. I know when things go wrong we automatically want to put the blame somewhere else instead of ourselves. Instead of thinking about what is going wrong, think of what can go right. Think of what can come out of the situation. Do what you can to find the solution. Be relaxed. Be objective. The next time you are faced with a problem situation, remember this. You owe it to yourself to start living on the highest platform of enjoyment you possibly can. Start doing the small things. Make the little changes. Then watch your life slowly start to transform then take quantum leaps. Happy Fueled Friday to all you beautiful people! This makes it, 13 For 30.
