I’ll admit, tonight, I almost gave up on the last three weeks progress and not write a blog for today. The last hour I battled with the inner voice trying to tell me I had put in enough work, that, I have been creating media and content since 8am and I have done enough. I was using this as justification to not to write a blog entry supplying you with 9 For 30.
I almost, for a split second, wasn’t going to write this. I mean who reads this shit anyway? Since you know this not to be the case, for the purpose of tonight’s blog, I want to talk about something known as the “5 Second Rule.” The 5 Second Rule has held great importance in the world of dropping food or ingestibles on a surface rather questionable in cleanness, but, how does this rule apply to other parts of our lives? The rule is based on the premise that there is a short period of time when a question is asked that you have to take action in response. How the 5 Second Rule works Today, OvHERtime arrived in Great Falls. Here is my 1 min vlog teaser. More vlog content coming soon. I would love to hear your initial feedback on this! “Welcome back to 98.9 K99! … A recent study has shown that the average person has a total of 60 bad days a year. Would you rather have 60 bad days in a row or have them spread out over the year?”
The most objective answer I feel would be to have 60 bad days spread out over 365 days. The radio had listeners call in to debate over the two answers. I feel the larger debate here is the fact that the average person has 60 bad days a year! The radio host did not specify as to what is considered a “bad day,” but, does anyone else find 60 bad days a year to be an alarming number!? 60/365 is roughly 17%. So, the average person has over one bad day PER WEEK! What!? I feel the debate over the number of bad days we have is less irrelevant than what we can do to decrease this number. With that being said, I want to offer my 5 points to having a great week! This. Just this. One day at a time. I will get there. Thank you for supporting me on this journey. Prepare yourself for the long haul, I'm not going anywhere. Enjoy. What do you do when things don’t go as planned?
Today marks the launch date of two new products, OvHERtime and Counter Attack, for online purchasing. Today, was also supposed to be the in-store release of these products at Total Nutrition and Tanning, the home of Fueled Supplements. Last night we were informed that our Christmas morning delivery was going to be delayed resulting in product not arriving until Monday of next week. Low blow, indeed. End of the world, definitely not. Although the news initially knocked the wind out of us, we lived in the solution by maximizing what we can do in the situation instead of beating up what we can’t do. And it’s really just that in life… Living in the solution and not in the problem. The first video got the best of me, so, I made another. So, in all it's glory, 14 For 30. After fighting with technology for the last hour and a half, I am going to try again in the morning...
This evening I was in the middle of writing today's blog and figured it would be another great opportunity to do another Vlog. I created a short clip talking about stretching, and it's been quite the stretch trying to get it uploaded. I My patience level has reached a standstill and I am going to try to upload the video tomorrow. So, this is today's blog, a slight failure in the small scheme of things. I tried people. My neck hurts from looking down at my phone, then back up at my computer to see if I can get them to sync. No luck. With that, hope you had a phenomenal Hump Day! I have been trying to turn my computer on for an hour now and since it’s already 10:44pm I’m just going to type up this bad boy on my phone. Gotta love technology.
This week, as each day passes, I feel the momentum build little by little in anticipation for Friday. I am like a kid, well I am a kid... anyway... I am like a kid waiting for Christmas! Santa comes in the form of a lovely private postal delivery man who clearly knows who has been on the nice list this year. If you need a hint, it’s us, we are on the nice list and Mr. Clause is delivering a whole lot of goodies come Friday. Product might be arriving Friday but this dream is a lifetime in the making. The man to thank isn’t me, it’s my Dad. Monday really brings the grind-mode feeling, especially this week. We are less than a week away from launching three new products to the Fueled Supplements line. Watching ideas continually manifest in the form of new products drives us to keep developing and improving. One year ago this was all just a thought that hadn’t been acted on. Today, the ground work is being laid for a launch pad into the future.
