Call it procrastination, call it lazy, but what you can’t call it is giving up only two days in, because Momma ain’t raise no quitter! So, we meet again. I must note that the motivational rah rah feeling I had two days ago when I created this challenge for myself has already worn off. The excitement always fades when it comes time to put in the actual work. On days that you don’t feel on fire, you must light the fire within and remember your why. It feels good to get myself uncomfortable. I made this challenge public because I want someone to call me the fuck out if I don’t own up to what I have set to achieve in the next 27 days. Instead of another rant, tonight I would like to tell you a funny story that seems to be categorized in my memory as incredibly vivid and easy to recall. Since this is the case, I will tell the story without making it too long because if you have ever heard me tell a story in person you better have your popcorn, toothbrush, and a change of clothes ready because it’s going to be a minute. Here we are, Day 2 of 30. Wow, I am actually doing this damn thing. I woke up this morning and realized the commitment I have made for the next 28 days now. Thank you all for your positive feedback, it means the world that I have a handful of people who find value in my words.
Today’s blog is my 7am rant after doing my morning scroll through Instagram and seeing corny fitness post after fitness post. I have wanted to express my thoughts on a platform where I know I can receive some valuable feedback if you don’t agree with me. Maybe it’s my own ego that delivers the content for this rant, but I feel there is some great context that can serve us all. I usually don’t share my rants as they simply just take up space in my notes because after reading most of them I find some sort of fault in my words and a way to change my perspective to become a better man. You can find out a lot about yourself by reading objectively the thoughts you write. These blogs are a major tool for me to become a better man. Thank you for being part of this journey… Sorry to disappoint, but, no, this blog isn’t a continuance of “The Monday Guide to Winning,” or even my thoughts on romantic relationships and how love influences our lives. In fact, I have yet to stick to a single word I have written in previous blogs about future blogs where I would go into more detail or continue on a subject matter.
Here is the thing… Let me tell you a little about me |
