“Welcome back to 98.9 K99! … A recent study has shown that the average person has a total of 60 bad days a year. Would you rather have 60 bad days in a row or have them spread out over the year?”
The most objective answer I feel would be to have 60 bad days spread out over 365 days. The radio had listeners call in to debate over the two answers. I feel the larger debate here is the fact that the average person has 60 bad days a year! The radio host did not specify as to what is considered a “bad day,” but, does anyone else find 60 bad days a year to be an alarming number!? 60/365 is roughly 17%. So, the average person has over one bad day PER WEEK! What!? I feel the debate over the number of bad days we have is less irrelevant than what we can do to decrease this number. With that being said, I want to offer my 5 points to having a great week!

This. Just this. One day at a time. I will get there. Thank you for supporting me on this journey. Prepare yourself for the long haul, I'm not going anywhere. Enjoy. What do you do when things don’t go as planned?
Today marks the launch date of two new products, OvHERtime and Counter Attack, for online purchasing. Today, was also supposed to be the in-store release of these products at Total Nutrition and Tanning, the home of Fueled Supplements. Last night we were informed that our Christmas morning delivery was going to be delayed resulting in product not arriving until Monday of next week. Low blow, indeed. End of the world, definitely not. Although the news initially knocked the wind out of us, we lived in the solution by maximizing what we can do in the situation instead of beating up what we can’t do. And it’s really just that in life… Living in the solution and not in the problem. The first video got the best of me, so, I made another. So, in all it's glory, 14 For 30. After fighting with technology for the last hour and a half, I am going to try again in the morning...
This evening I was in the middle of writing today's blog and figured it would be another great opportunity to do another Vlog. I created a short clip talking about stretching, and it's been quite the stretch trying to get it uploaded. I My patience level has reached a standstill and I am going to try to upload the video tomorrow. So, this is today's blog, a slight failure in the small scheme of things. I tried people. My neck hurts from looking down at my phone, then back up at my computer to see if I can get them to sync. No luck. With that, hope you had a phenomenal Hump Day! I have been trying to turn my computer on for an hour now and since it’s already 10:44pm I’m just going to type up this bad boy on my phone. Gotta love technology.
This week, as each day passes, I feel the momentum build little by little in anticipation for Friday. I am like a kid, well I am a kid... anyway... I am like a kid waiting for Christmas! Santa comes in the form of a lovely private postal delivery man who clearly knows who has been on the nice list this year. If you need a hint, it’s us, we are on the nice list and Mr. Clause is delivering a whole lot of goodies come Friday. Product might be arriving Friday but this dream is a lifetime in the making. The man to thank isn’t me, it’s my Dad. Monday really brings the grind-mode feeling, especially this week. We are less than a week away from launching three new products to the Fueled Supplements line. Watching ideas continually manifest in the form of new products drives us to keep developing and improving. One year ago this was all just a thought that hadn’t been acted on. Today, the ground work is being laid for a launch pad into the future.
Last night I watched the new Comedy Special on Netflix featuring Chris Rock. I will refrain from sharing my indifferent opinion on the entire skit, instead, for the purpose of this blog, I want to break down one particular segment that I feel requires some rebuttal.
Chris throughout his skit mentions his children, being a father, a husband, an unfaithful husband, and offers some thoughts on how you should parent, love, and change. To “Mr.Rocks” credit, I feel most of the advice was genuine, with his experience being the enforcer to his words. One part in particular really made me cringe in disagreement. In story, Chris speaks about his recent outing to his daughters high school freshman orientation. Although his comments on the bullshit teachers preach to kids about the world is fairly accurate and comical, I disagree on his view on teachers telling students, “You can be whatever you want to be!” 8:42 pm.
The sounds of coaching cues ring deep within my ears. I’m exhausted. I have had 2 servings of The Edge and I do believe Suggested Use was only 1 scoop in a 24hr time period. Woah, living on, The Edge 😜 I woke up at 6am, drove two hours in the snow, coached wrestling all day, drove back on worse roads, and now am sitting here slightly delusional as I hear whistles blurred by the screams of delusional Dads.... I’ll touch on Dad delusion in another blog. Today presented the biggest test for me thus far on this 30 day blog challenge. I want to deliver the most authentic content every day and I feel it is my duty to not publish some bullshit I wrote a few days in advance. I wanted to, but, I felt like that was cutting corners, as if I was finding the easy way out. The thought sounds awesome... knowing that I’ll be busy and would have to make a commitment to writing so I write a blog in advance to be efficient and not have to stress about it. But, the way you do one thing is the way you do everything. I’m not here to cut corners. I don’t want the easy way out. I’ve never wanted the easy way out. So, with that, here are my 5 takeaways from today in the form of such coaching cues I can’t seem to get out of my head. Happy Friday beautiful people. Tonight, I switch it up and go with a VLOG. Enjoy. :) |
